1976

chromogenic color print
Edition 6/8

24 × 20 in (60.96 × 50.8 cm)

In 1975, William Jenkins included Stephen Shore New Topographics: Photographs of a Man-Altered Landscapes at the International Museum for Photography along with Lewis Baltz, Robert Adams, and Henry Wessel. Like the 1967 New Documents show, New Topographics articulated a new and soon to be dominant photographic style. Moving away from street photography, Shore and his contemporaries created highly detailed landscapes of industrial America.
