Ketuta Alexi-Meskhishvili on Narcisse: Instagram filters seem superfluous but they slyly collect your data for facial recognition systems. The fact that this exchange is voluntary says a lot about our time. These live rendering filters also seem like a perfect marriage of self-portraiture and the ready-made, of public and private moments, and make me think about how manipulation and authenticity play in photography today.
